Rebecca & Kyle's Rochester Metropolitan Wedding

Okay, so Rebecca & Kyle’s Rochester city-center may have been the exact type of wedding I’ve been waiting on for YEARS. Their metropolitan style was so sophisticated, and their guests were some of the most hyped I’ve ever witnessed. The full wedding day was such a blast!

Rebecca and Kyle’s wedding was my first time photographing a big city wedding, and I loved every second of it! I will admit, I was nervous about where we could possibly take couples portraits in the city, but I was completely wrong. The city offered so many more options for pictures than I thought it could! What made this day even more fun and laid back was the fact that they had decided to do their portraits before their ceremony. It gave us so much more time to go to all the locations they had in mind, and get more portraits of them than a “regular” wedding day would have which leave us crunched on time and scrambling to get everything on the shot list done in a short amount of time. But not this day! We had a few hours to work with which was a great change of pace. My other favorite thing about this wedding was the ceremony location: Saint Joseph’s Park. It looked like castle ruins from a fairy tale, the natural foliage growing in and around in, and with the string lights hanging across the open ceiling/sky, it all just added to the dreaminess of this spot. I would highly recommend any couples who are looking to have their wedding in Rochester, NY to go check this place out!
