Grace & Kevin's Wedding

Guys, this was my first wedding that I’ve ever shot by myself. And you know what? I loved it! I will admit I was a tad nervous to be flying solo, but if Cara has done it a million times by herself—so could I. It was oddly more laid back than a normal wedding is, and by normal, I mean shooting alongside with Cara. Which considering I would have to do the work of two photographers on my own, I was surprised. I was expecting to be rushing around and struggling to get every shot from every angle possible, and was fearful that I would miss something important. (And that’s the great part of shooting with two photographers, it almost acts as a safety net. If you missed something or if your camera wasn’t working, the other one could be getting that shot. Or we could both be getting different angles/perspectives of the same scene.) But the day ran smoothly and I wasn’t overwhelmed at all! I am so pleased with how the shots turned out. And I can’t wait for another solo wedding!
